We were novices at publishing a book, but Print2Demand were helpful throughout the process of seeing our book into print. Whilst we had the text and pictures and an idea of the format, Print2Demand freely helped us refine our thoughts and answered our technical and administrative questions as we moved towards our goal. I have to say I always approach buying services on thew web with a certain amount of caution. Coming to the P2D website relieved a little of my caution and speaking with Bob put me more at ease. I was impressed at the way the files containing my text was able to be transferred and doubly impressed with the speed of how the proof of the book was produced and then printed. This was our first pubishing project and the first time using P2D. We found them very helpful and supportive. They answered all our questions patiently, their online information was useful, and they bore with our delays and mistakes en route to press. I would certainly use them again. The finished product was very good to. They are not the absolute cheapest in the print to demand market, but you get what you pay for - or in this case, more.

Six months ago I decided that I wanted to publish my little memoir in Britain. On Lissa Oliver's recommendation I contacted Dale and Bob @ P2D Books Ltd. My initial conversations convinced me that I would be working with two very experienced professionals and that the final product was going to be something that I might be really proud to have done. I had clear ideas on the look of the book, its structure (I enrolled in a one-day book-binding course in Dublin to get a perspective on that aspect), typeface, size, format, etcetera, but at times questioned my own judgement to Dale who was impressively objective and non-committal, something that I came to value in him. Both Dale and Bob were extraordinarily prompt in their responses, so there was never a danger of missing a deadline. Having had two bad previous experiences in the publishing world (1995 and 2000) when I felt shafted by two British academic institutions, it is an absolute treat to be "third time lucky"! P2D Books Ltd absolutely deserve a 5 star rating.

Our author is delighted, and said (quote) “what a good job your printers have done”. I quite agree. It is the first digitally printed book I have been involved with that I would be very hard put to it to tell wasn’t conventional litho.The text is beautifully backed up so that the lines align on verso and recto, which is something that in my experience not everyone manages (or is indeed aware of the need for!).The book handles very well too. Nice tight binding and very accurate centring of the spine lettering and cover.Thanks for a great job.
